Since 2012 we have:​

  • Safely operated large-scale events in Scotland's best wild spaces

  • Enabled participants to raise over £500,000 for various charities

  • Scotland's premier night trail race 

  • Now with 3 distances:

  • Run or walk over rugged hill trails in Glen Tanar with just the glow of your head torch to lead the way

Over the past 3 years Glen Tanar has worked alongside Firetrail developing the Illuminator, a night running and walking race for over 1500 participants. The Illuminator has proven to be an enjoyable and successful event for all participants, the Firetrail team and Glen Tanar estate. Firetrail have proven themselves more than capable of managing large-scale events in a well-organised manner on an estate that has a multitude of wildlife and mixed-use constraints to consider.
